A 12-year-old girl killed was killed in an 86 vehicles pileup on I-275 crash near Colerain Avenue. In addition, 52 vehicles were involved in a separate pileup on southbound I-75 in Middletown, with only minor injuries reported.More >>
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -
During
Tuesday's Trustee's Meeting, 35 Colerain Township Firefighters were
honored and presented with Letters of Commendation for their actions during the I-275 multi-vehicle pileup on January 21, 2013.
The
Colerain Township Trustees listened as the Letter of Commendation was read by
Chief Bruce Smith outlining the details of the crash and the
professional response provided by the men and women of the Colerain Township
Fire Department.
On
January 21, units from the Colerain Township F.D. were dispatched to an auto
accident on the highway during an unanticipated snow squall. Over 100 vehicles were involved in the crash. First arriving units recognized the scope of this
incident and immediately put procedures in place to assemble additional
resources that would be required to mitigate this situation.

recognized for their actions during the massive 100+ vehicle pile-up on January
21, 2013.
