The accident happened at 2:05 p.m. in the 2500 block of Taylorsville Road.
Taylorsville Road was expected to be closed for several hours.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A two-vehicle accident near Bowman Field left one person dead and two others injured Thursday afternoon.
According to Louisville Metro Police, a yellow pickup truck went out of control in the 2500 block of Taylorsville Road, crossed the center line and slammed into a white Lincoln Continental at a sharp angle. The driver of the Lincoln, described by police as an older woman, and her male passenger were rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where the woman died. Police said her passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck also suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The accident happened at 2:05 p.m. Thursday. Taylorsville Road was closed about two-and-a-half hours while crews investigated and cleared the accident scene.
