LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – As Valentine's Day comes into focus, one Louisville Metro Councilwoman is reminding our men and women serving overseas they are not forgotten.
Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D-24) has organized the 2013 "Doing Our Part From the Heart" program, which aims to collect and send toiletries and snacks to troops serving in remotes areas of Afghanistan and Iraq.
It's easy to get involved. Just pick up a few items on the list below, and drop them off at one of the following locations.

- Foot Powder

- Bug Repellent with DEET
- Eye Drops
- Hand Sanitizer
- Wet Ones
- Kool-aid or Gatorade individual packs
- Peanut Butter
- Individual snacks, chips, nuts, pretzels
- Neosporin
- Candy that will not melt
