LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A diehard group of University of Louisville fans is showing its support from one of the most dangerous spots on the globe.

UofL spokesperson Mark Hebert Tweeted a photo Thursday morning showing a group of Kentucky Guardsmen stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan posing with a Cardinals flag.

The unit is on an agribusiness development mission. Its goal is to conduct training and outreach to Afghan farmers and the Afghan government to increase productivity and marketing of agricultural products in the country.
