LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police say they have the man responsible for a string of burglaries along Dixie Highway. Clark Kain is facing several charges, including burglary and criminal mischief. The burglaries were committed the burglaries from mid-December until early this week.

Police say video surveillance captured Kain, 40, stealing from different businesses - Dogs and Sud's car wash, Larry's Haircutters and Hear Here, incorporated.

Police say at Dogs and Suds, Kain damaged coin machines, vacuum cleaners, and sprayer heads. At other businesses, glass windows and doors were broken.

In the majority of instances, a rock would be used to break the window on a business, the television would be stolen, and a bicycle was used to get away.

"In one instance he threw a cinder block, concrete cinder block through a window of a store and took a TV and came back and maybe a day or two later and did the same thing to the business next to it," said Dwight Mitchell, a LMPD spokesperson.

Dogs and Suds suffered the biggest losses, $15,000 worth.

Kain is currently locked up in Metro Corrections.
