LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Ballard High grad Keisten Jones scored a career-high 31 points leading #13 Bellarmine to a 78-56 win at Lewis in Romeoville, Illinois.
Jones hit 7 three-pointers and 11-17 from the field. Chris Dowe added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the Knights.
"I felt good tonight," Jones said. "Credit to the defense, 56 points is pretty good, we played good team defense."
The Knights improve to 18-4, 10-4 in the Greats Lakes Valley Conference. Lewis falls to 14-8, 8-6 in the league.
"When you hold a team to 38% shooting and they only get 5 offensive rebounds," Bellarmine head coach Scotty Davenport said, "Believe me, in that locker room, those guys felt good about themselves tonight."
Davenport added, "We had great practices all week and that was a great performance tonight on the road. A tremendous performance from start to finish."
Bellarmine visits GLVC East leader, #21 Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.
