The Summit County Sheriffs bomb disabled a live bomb under an Alliance resident's car Thursday.

It happened at 1p.m. when Alliance police responded to a report of a suspicious device found in the 200 block of West Main Street.

Police say the resident found a two feet long pipe bomb underneath their pick-up truck in the driveway.

The Summit County Sheriff's Bomb Squad was called to assist, and the squad disarmed the explosive without detonation.

The incident is being investigated by Alliance Police and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.
