Council approves incentives to help open Kentucky Kingdom

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Council voted unanimously to approve incentives designed to help developers open Kentucky Kingdom.

Along with incentives from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and private financing, it will set developers on a path to begin renovation for an opening next year.

Tax payers would get a refund when the park is sold.

The measure, passed Thursday, will now go to Mayor Greg Fischer for his signature.
