Workers recovering from dog attacks

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville Metro Animal Services worker is recovering from a pit bull attack at work.

The attack happened Thursday at LMAS on Manslick Road. A Kentucky Humane Society employee tried to help and was also bitten.

LMAS Director Justin Scally said they do everything possible to keep employees safe. However, earlier this week, a dog housed at the animal house adoption center that showed no previous signs of aggression also bit someone.

The LMAS employee who was bitten was taken to University Hospital and is said to be doing okay.

The Kentucky Humane Society employee was treated and released.
