Wolcott man faces animal abuse charges

WOLCOTT, CT (WFSB) -

A man from Wolcott is facing charges in connection to a disturbing case of animal cruelty.

Police say Michael Pollin, 23, of Wolcott, punched a cocker spaniel several times in the face and then choked it.

A witness called police and reported the abuse.

At this point, officials have not released any information about the dog's condition.
