Brent Spence meeting held to voice opinion on tolls

A public meeting was held to voice opinion over proposed tolls on the Brent Spence Bridge.

The Brent Spence Bridge is nearly 50-years-old. Ohio Governor John Kasich proposed using tolls to fund a $2.5 billion replacement bridge.

On Tuesday, Kenton County officials hosted a public hearing to decide if the fiscal court will join other Northern Kentucky governments in the opposition of tolls.

Transportation officials with ODOT and OKI revealed the proposed tolls would range between $1-5 for drivers.

The meeting was held at Nortre Dame Academy in Park Hills, KY.
