PADUCAH, KY (WAVE) - The case against a Paducah man charged with manslaughter will go to a grand jury.
In court Tuesday Nicholas Barbee, 21, waived his preliminary hearing while wearing a white tie with the name Braydion painted on it.
Barbee was caring for his girlfriend's son, Braydion Matlock, 3, on February 9 when the toddler was fatally shot.
Barbee told police he accidentally shot the toddler. Police said the weapon was a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.
Barbee is charged with second-degree manslaughter.
