INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WAVE) - Indiana State Police says there is a surge in gun permit requests amid the national gun control debate.
Up to 4,000 requests a week are being placed to the ISP according to The Indy Star. The number is three times what the agency was handling at the same time last year.
The spike in interest for gun permits means that the police are scrutinizing these new applications even more.
