Moerlein Lager House celebrates its first year of business

The Moerlein Lager House along with Cincinnati's downtown riverfront is celebrating its first anniversary!

As a way of saying "thank you" for their first year of business, customers will be able to enjoy giveaways, new menu offerings, a special anniversary beer and celebrity bartenders starting on Friday. The celebration will continue through Sunday, March 1.

The Moerlein Lager House was built as tribute to Cincinnati's brewing history and the famed 19th century brew master, Christian Moerlein. The 28,000 square foot structure opened its doors in February 2012 and consists of more than 800 seats for diners, two beer gardens and a working micro brewery.

"We want to thank our loyal and amazing customers who helped make our inaugural year a phenomenal success," said Greg Hardman, Moerlein Lager House's Managing Member. "We sincerely appreciate the City of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Park Board and our customers for sharing in our vision to bring a world-class micro brewery and restaurant celebrating Moerlein and Cincinnati's brewing heritage to Smale Riverfront Park."

During its first year of operation, the Moerlein Lager House has served 810,000 customers, one million servings of beer, 145,800 individual pretzels and tens of thousands of worldwide visitors.

All guests who purchase food during the celebration ill receive a commemorative "Moerlein Lager House Inaugural Year" beer glass. Local celebrities will also be named "beer barons" for the day.
