TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -
A controversial truck
stop in Turtlecreek Township was given the green light by officials on Friday.
Warren County Commissioners approved the proposed 'Flying J Travel Plaza', to be located at the southeast corner
of Interstate 71 at Ohio 123.
The 11-acre development would include the
truck stop, Wendy's and other retail space.
The area is the second most underdeveloped interchange in Warren
County, and supporters hope to bring more
business to the area.
The Lebanon Community Group argued the area is
not zoned for those businesses, postponing the decision for commissioners back in January. Opponents say it will
increase area traffic and hurt future development of more 'attractive'
businesses.
