Pastor holds gun control rally

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - After Sunday services a church hosted a rally for gun supporters.

The pastor of the Heart of Fire Church said he decided to host the Don't Tread on Me rally because the government is trying to infringe on the right to bear arms.

He said if the government takes away guns, freedom of speech will be the next to go.

Reverend Dan Johnson who organized the event explained, "We need now for every pastor, every priest, every rabbi in this country that enjoys the freedom of speech to stand up for our second amendment rights, I should not be doing the unusual, the abnormal, I should be doing what every pastor in the nation, right now should be doing."

The pastor said he will continue to hold these rallies until the topic of gun control has blown over and the second amendment is left intact.
