Lawrence's win exciting for childhood friend

Andy jumped in the air after hearing Jennifer won.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – While the Hollywood world celebrated Jennifer Lawrence's Best Actress win, back home in Louisville no one was more excited than her childhood friend Andy Strunk.

Stunk and the Silver Linings Playbook star grew up together in the same neighborhood and both attended Kammerer Middle School.

Strunk pulled out all the stops Sunday night, wearing his finest tux as he anxiously watched the awards.

As soon as Lawrence was announced as the winner Stunk shot in the air, screaming with excitement for his friend.

Her win is sure to be a night both him and Lawrence will always remember.
