Ashley JuddFRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – An actress is
continuing to reach out to Kentucky Democrats as she weighs a run for the United
States Senate.
Ashley Judd has not said she will
enter the race but she has been in contact with several politicians, including
Governor Steve Beshear, to discuss her options.
House Speaker Greg Stumbo and Speaker Pro
Tem Larry Clark said they have also received calls from Judd.
Judd lives in Tennessee and would have
to re-establish a residence in Kentucky to take on Senate Republican Leader Mitch
McConnell in his 2014 re-election bid.
No democrats have stepped forward to
challenge McConnell, who already has raised $10 million for his re-election.
