LaRue County gets new sheriff

HODGENVILLE, KY (WAVE) - There's a new sheriff in town in LaRue County.

Former LaRue County Sheriff Merle Edlin was sworn in Thursday afternoon as interim sheriff.
He will fulfill Bobby Shoffner's term in office.

Shoffner, who retired effective Thursday due to health reasons, was midway through his third term.
