Dinner raises $100K for Healing Place

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Celebrate Freedom dinner was hosted Friday night by The Healing Place.

The dinner, along with an auction emceed by WAVE 3's Kevin Harned, helped raise money to combat drug addiction.

The keynote speaker for the event was sportscaster Pat O'Brien.

"They take people off the streets," said O'Brien, "they get them warm they get them food they teach them about life and it makes their lives better and yours as well."

The dinner raised more than $100,000 for The Healing Place, which has been providing hope for people battling drug and alcohol addiction since 1989.
