More than 1,000 runners and walkers took part in Saturday morning's Bockfest 5K.
Participants ran through the historic brewery district of downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine. The 5K is the newest addition to Bockfest Cincinnati weekend, the unofficial celebration of spring with the tapping of the season's Bock beer.
A total of 1,033 finished the 5K. Winners for the men include Eric Finan, Tommy Kauffman and Patrick Carroll. On the women's side, Kayla Camp-Warner, Halle Cupp and Kim Zimmer finished respectively.
The race was one of three races held in 2013 to celebrate Cincinnati's rich history of brewing and running.
The Bockfest 5K is the first leg of the three-part Christian Moerlein Beer Series served up by the Flying Pig Marathon. The other two are the Little Kings One Mile on Friday, May 3, and the Hudepohl 14K and 7K over Oktoberfest weekend, September 21.
