Vyjack takes Gotham, remains perfect

NEW YORK (AP) - Vyjack remained unbeaten on his way to the Kentucky Derby, rallying for a 2¼ length victory in the $400,000 Gotham Stakes for 3-year-olds on Saturday at Aqueduct.
The gelding trained by Rudy Rodriguez is now 4 for 4, all at Aqueduct. The Gotham victory was worth 50 qualifying points for the Derby.
Joel Rosario was aboard as the 2-1 second choice ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:44.09, paying $6.40 to win.
West Hills Giant set the pace at 33-1 and held on for second with Elnaawi third.
