Green Twp residents fight low-income housing proposal

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Residents are fighting a proposal to build low income housing in Green Township.

Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) proposed to build a multi-family housing facility on the corner of North Bend Road and Westwood Northern Boulevard. CMHA is under federal mandate to build low income apartments in the area.

However, the proposition has drawn a large amount of opposition.

Greed Township residents teamed up with several residents from Westwood and Cheviot to fight the proposal, attending the Green Township Trustees meeting on Monday night to speak out.

Multiple meetings have also been held to share ideas and formulate a plan to try to stop the project.
