Mundt expected to take stand in Banis trial

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The murder trial of Joseph Banis will continue Monday and his co-defendant Jeffery Mundt is expected to stand for the prosecution.

Banis and Mundt are both accused of killing Jamie Carroll, stuffing his body in a plastic tub and burying him in the basement of their Old Louisville home.

Banis' attorney is trying to prove his client did not have anything to do with the murder.

The Commonwealth says both Banis and Mundt committed the crime.

Banis and Mundt were arrested in 2010.
