FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) -
A fire in Fairmount left five homeless on Monday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to a home on Van Hart Avenue after
reports of smoke and fire from the address.
Initial reports indicated that several children were still
inside of the building. However, fire crews accounted for all of the residents
outside of the building as they arrived at the scene.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire. Forty-eight
firefighters responded to the scene.
The fire caused an estimated $10 thousand in damage. No
injuries were reported.
The blaze left two adults and three children homeless. They
are being assisted by The Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
