HARDIN COUNTY, KY
(WAVE) - One person remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries following
a crash on Interstate 65.
According to Kentucky
State Police, the wreck happened Monday and involved two semis.
According to Master Trooper Norman Chaffins of Kentucky State Police, a
Freightliner tractor trailer operated by Jerry D. Compton, 60, of
Leitchfield rear-ended a Ford Escape driven by John R. Warner, 61, of
Goshen, KY around 2:30 p.m. Warner's SUV went airborne and overturned,
landing in the left hand lane of the interstate.
Warner is listed in critical condition at University Hospital.
Traffic in the area
was reduced to one lane due to construction at the time of the crash. It is
unclear if the lane closure had any bearing on the accident.
