LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – One person is dead after a two vehicle
in accident in Louisville.
According to Louisville Metro Police PIO Dwight Mitchell,
around 9 a.m. Wednesday police responded to a report of an injury accident in
the 8900 block of 3rd Street Road.
Mitchell said a man driving a green Dodge Caravan was
traveling southbound on 3rd Street Road when he lost control of his
vehicle and struck a white Nissan Rogue head on that was stopped northbound waiting
to turn onto Mitchell Lane.
The passenger in the Nissan was transported to University
Hospital where he later died.
The LMPD traffic Unit
is investigating. The reason why the man driving the Caravan lost control is
under investigation. There appear to be no charges at this time.
