Campbell Co. woman dies from flu complications

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) -

A Campbell County woman is dead after what is believed to be complications from the flu.

A letter was sent home with fourth grade students at Ruth Moyer Elementary on Wednesday stating that the mother of a fellow student had passed away. FOX19 has confirmed that the woman is identified as 43-year-old Jo Ellen Russ of Fort Thomas.

Russ has two children that attend Ruth Moyer.

This is the second Campbell County resident to pass away from flu-like complications this year.
