Elizabethtown man charged with murdering infant daughter

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A father charged with assault following his six-month-old daughter's death was indicted Thursday on a wanton murder charge.

Police said Barry Williams, 21, admitted shaking his baby girl, Aleyah Williams, because she wouldn't stop crying. Aleyah was rushed from Elizabethtown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville on February 26. Doctors say she died of shaken baby syndrome.
