Man accused of killing infant daughter enters plea

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A Hardin County father accused of causing his 6-month-old daughter's death pleaded not guilty to wanton murder on Tuesday.

Barry Williams, 21, also requested a public defender at a hearing in Elizabethtown.

Doctors at Kosair Children's Hospital said Aleyah Noelle Williams suffered from shaken baby syndrome when she died on February 27. Williams told police he dropped the baby after giving her a bath.

He will be back in court on April 23.
