Person struck by vehicle in front of school

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – A person was struck by a vehicle in front of New Albany High School.

According to dispatchers, the person was hit around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Dispatchers would not confirm whether or not the person who was hit was a student, but New Albany's Assistant to the Superintendent Bill Briscoe said he believes a staff member was hit.

The person who was struck was transported to University Hospital.
