LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The mascot of the Louisville Bats is now a published author.
Saturday, Buddy Bat unveiled his new book for kids titled "A Different Kind of Buddy" at the Bats open house event at Louisville Slugger Field.
The book was penned by Jeremy Sharfe, the man who has been performing as Buddy Bat for 11 years.
Sharfe signed copies of the book along with illustrator Andrew Kirby.
Proceeds from the book will benefit the Family Scholar House, which helps low income families avoid homelessness.
