LOUISVILLE,
KY (WAVE) – A mother was taken into custody after her child was found barefoot
with no jacket running on the side of a road.
According
to a police report, the morning of March 15 the 4-year-old girl was on the side
of Hunsinger Lane in danger of being hit by traffic.
The child was able to give
an officer directions to her apartment in the 7200 block of Hillpark Way.
When
they arrived no one was home. When the mother, Cocoo Doelu, came home she told
police she had been at the bus stop with her other children.
Police
went where the woman said she was and it was the same place the child had run
past.
Doelu is
charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
