LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Gruesome photos and video have been released of the room inside a church where two men were killed during a homeowner association meeting, but also of Mahmoud Hindi's house after police arrested him.
We've gone through the pictures and removed the images that may be the most upsetting to families and viewers. The video shows the room at Springdale Community Church where the Spring Creek Homeowners Association meeting was taking place on the evening of September 6, 2012. Just 20 minutes into the meeting witnesses said Hindi opened fire, shooting and killing Marvin Fisher and David Merritt.
The panic and chaos are very evident in the images. The room has chairs knocked over, glasses thrown on the floor and tables, papers and agendas scattered throughout the room.
There are medical supplies on the ground, likely where EMS tried to revive or treat the two men. Also in the video and picture, is what the weapon police say Hindi used, a Smith and Wesson .38 special.
Witnesses say Hindi was angry over the Spring Creek Neighborhood's regulations on an extra driveway and a fence along the side of the house.
Hindi is behind bars and has been in the news recently after several disruptions in jail. He is scheduled for trial in September 2013.
