Man cleared in animal torture case

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Fairdale man accused of killing a dog by dragging it behind his car has been found not guilty.

Kenneth Mahoney was charged after a witness told police tied a beagle to his bumper, drove away, and then threw the dog in a ditch.

Mahoney's jury trial on animal torture charges was held Thursday.
