NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - A mother and her two children whose nude bodies were found in a New Albany creek were laid to rest on Saturday.

The mysterious March 13 deaths of Jamie Clutter, 35, her son Brandon, 10, and her daughter Katelyn, 6 months, have shocked the community. The coroner determined the children drowned. Their mother's cause of death is pending toxicology results, which could take weeks.

Hundreds of people attended their funeral on Saturday at Greater Faith Church in New Albany.

Michael Clutter, the father and husband of the family, said after the funeral that was hard to say goodbye. "It was hard walking away," Clutter said. "I didn't even feel like sitting down. I just stood up there for the whole time for the viewing... I just didn't want to let go."

Clutter said he is just trying to hold on to his memories of his wife and two children. He finds solace in believing they are in a better place. "I know they are in heaven," he said. "That's the only thing that gives me comfort because I know if there was anyone who deserved to be in heaven, they did."
