LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Jefferson County Public School bus slid off the road and another bus clipped a basketball goal.

According to MetroSafe, one of the accidents happened at 8:33 a.m. Monday when the bus slid into a ditch off Smyrna Road near Manslick Road. JCPS Spokesperson Ben Jackey said bus number 9382, which was subbing for bus 1175, hit a slick spot on the road, slipped and hit a mailbox.

Students from McFerran Elementary were onboard at the time. No injuries were reported and the driver continued to transport the children after speaking with police.

Earlier Monday morning a separate JCPS bus, number 9926, had six children on board when the bus clipped a mirror on a basketball goal left in a roadway on Unseld Boulevard at Shasta Way. No injuries were reported in the incident.
