Mundt attorneys request jurors fill out questionnaires

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Seventeen daysafter Joseph Banis was found guilty of murdering a man he buried in his basement,a hearing was held for Banis' co-defendant.

Jeffrey Mundt's defense team argued incourt on Monday that they would like prospective jurors to fill out aquestionnaire to determine what they know about the case.

Prosecutors didn't like that request,but Judge Mitch Perry said he would consider the idea.

Mundt's trial is scheduled to begin inMay.

Banis, who is Mundt's formerboyfriend, was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the shooting andstabbing death of Carroll.

    Nearly one year ago, a 22-month-old boy in Seymour, Indiana nearly drowned after he found his way outside and into a pool. Quick action from family and neighbors were able to save Maddex "Maddie" Elicio's life but left him with brain damage.  Family, friends and strangers filled a Crothersville, Indiana park Sunday to help raise money for Maddie's treatments and awareness to water-related accidents and deaths with children.
