MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - Sarah Simmons of Memphis had all the four judges on "The Voice" fighting for her to be on their teams. A few even said she has a shot at winning the entire competition.
Simmons is current student at Visible Music College in the Bluff City.
She auditioned for the hit TV show last fall and Tuesday night, her teachers and classmates were amazed by her performance.
"It was fantastic to see her just knock it out of the park," said Visible Music College President Ken Steorts. "So proud of Sarah. I tried on purpose not to watch any bit of it before hand just to have an experience like a viewer."
Steorts watched as all four judges turned their chairs, indicating that they all wanted Simmons on their team.
"I was very excited to see that and to see who turned first. It's just great to see that. I mean, I was moved by her performance," he continued. "It's a song that I hadn't really seen done like that before. I was really moved."
Simmons sang her rendition of the Joan Osbourne hit "One of Us".
Her performance even brought back memories of the first time Steorts heard Simmons sing.
"I was here one night late and there was something happening two floors below me. And I heard and thought, 'What is going on down there?'" he said. "I thought, 'This is a pro band with unbelievable talent going on at the practice rooms.'"
When he made his way downstairs, Steorts discovered Simmons and her band practicing. He says he knew she was going to make it.
He cannot wait to see where she goes next.
Sarah Simmons flew back to Los Angeles Wednesday and because of a flight delay she was not available to speak with us.
The next episode of "The Voice" will air Monday at 9 p.m.
