Suspect wanted for shooting Radcliff man in face

RADCLIFF, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are looking for the person who shot a 19-year-old Hardin County man in the head.

Corey Stephens was shot in the face while riding with friends in the 1300 block of Blackjack Road in Radcliff late Friday. Police say Stephens was riding with four friends, when they encountered a carload of people. Someone in that second car fired multiple shots into the victim's vehicle.

Stephens was taken to a nearby gas station and eventually flown to University Hospital where he was in critical condition.

Police are still searching for the occupants of the second car. "What we'd like to do is get all the folks involved and interview them to find out exactly what happened, not just from the victims, the individuals in the victims vehicle but in the suspects vehicle as well," said Norman Chaffins, Kentucky State Police.

A suspect has been identified who is wanted for assault and wanton endangerment, but police would not release the name. There is reason to believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
