UofL women's team returns to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The University of Louisville women's basketball team is going to another Final Four.

For the second game in a row the Cards pulled a major upset winning a spot in New Orleans.

Wednesday afternoon the ladies returned home to Louisville. A huge crowd showed up at UofL's student activity center to greet the players as they returned home from shocking the world twice in Oklahoma City.

The team said they are playing loose and are just having fun out on the court.

The women were a five seed and quite frankly weren't expected to make it pass the Sweet 16, but after their huge upset of #1 Baylor, then upsetting two seed Tennessee Tuesday night Cinderella now wears red.

Throughout all the wins the Schimmel family received an even bigger prize. UofL sisters Shoni and Jude Schimmel's are two of six kids by Rick Schimmel and Cee Cee Moses, but had never actually married. Before the Baylor game their mom told the girls if they beat Baylor she would marry their dad.

The Cards took care of business and Tuesday the two were married.
