2 hospitalized in 3-vehicle crash near Delta

Posted: Updated:
DELTA, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A serious three-vehicle crash near Delta closed a busy road for a few hours Thursday. The crash sent two people to the hospital and officials on the scene say those involved are lucky to be alive.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck crossed the center line and hit two other cars on State route 20-A near the intersection of state Route 109.

An air ambulance took the driver of one of the cars involved to the hospital and a ground ambulance took another.

"There was heavy damage to the vehicle that caused the crash. I guess it's just important to remember that when you're traveling down the roadways, crashes happen fast, and you need to leave yourself reaction time to make sure you can react to what's going on in front of you," said Deputy Eric Leininger with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

Officials are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
