FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -

Flagstaff police saved an elderly woman who had fallen down and was without food, water or her medications for two days.

The Flagstaff police were contacted by a concerned neighbor who wasn't able to get in touch with the elderly woman. Police went to her home on East Franklin Avenue but were not able to make contact with anyone. Officers then reached out to family members and her son told police she had some medical issues.

Police then reached out to the building supervisor and entered the home to find the 82-year-old woman on the floor near her couch in the living room. Medics tended to the woman and determined she had been on the floor for approximately two days.

The was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
