LEBANON JUNCTION, KY (WAVE) – An intense fire destroyed a pickup truck on Interstate 65 Thursday afternoon.
The Dodge 4x4 pickup was traveling near Lebanon Junction in Bullitt County when the flames engulfed it. Chief Mark Shumaker of the Lebanon Junction Fire Department said an electrical problem in the truck was responsible for the fire.
Shumaker said as the driver started to smell smoke the truck's lights started flashing, its horn started sounding and smoke was coming out of the defroster. Shortly after that, Shumaker said the dash of the truck was on fire.
Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the blaze. No one was hurt.
