LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - As the University of Louisville men get ready to take the court in Atlanta in the NCAA national championship game, Louisville Metro Police have rearranged their patrol plan for the celebrations expected after the game is over.

LMPD is not adding more patrols around the Belknap Campus or in other areas of town, but they are changing where they concentrate their patrols.

Officers made ten arrests related to celebrations were made Saturday night. Nine of them came along Broadway between 26th and 28th Street. Police said celebrations in other areas of town - like the Highlands, 4th Street and campus - were much calmer which is why they're putting more officers along Broadway.

Lt. Col. Kenton Buckner said it is okay to celebrate, but it has to be done responsibly.

"If we win this game, and I anticipate that we will considering the hard work that our men and women have put in, when you do come out to celebrate please come out with good intentions," said Buckner. "We want everyone to come out to be law abiding be respectful of your neighbors. We don't anyone coming out with weapons armed, engaging in any kind of criminal activity, blocking traffic, fighting, anything of the sort. That is criminal activity we will not tolerate."

UofL has canceled all classes on Monday and Tuesday night that were scheduled to start after 4:15 p.m.
