BURLINGTON, Ky. (AP) -
The murder trial of a man in Boone County will proceed this summer, despite a fourth attempt to delay it.
A judge said 42-year-old Michael Moore will stand trial beginning Aug. 12 in the shooting deaths of his parents in 2009.
When police arrived at the home of Warren and Madge Moore in Union, the couple was dead and Michael Moore had gunshot wounds to the leg and groin. Investigators believe the son killed his parents, shot himself and then called 911 to report someone came into the house and began firing a gun.
The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/11YnmHs ) reported Boone Circuit Judge Tony Frohlich noted the three previous continuances he had granted and then told public defender Joanne Lynch the trial will stick to the court's schedule.
