COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two men were indicted after a shooting in Colerain Township.

Police were called to a report of shots fired on March 4 in the 3300 block of Deshler Drive. Upon arrival, authorities found Demarco Reyes suffering from two gunshot wounds in his left side. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.

According to police, a second man, Michael McCleery, fled the scene and later reported the shooting once back at his home.

Authorities believe through their investigation that both Reyes and McCleery were taking part in an illegal drug transaction, and Reyes attempted to rob McCleery. McCleery then reportedly responded by firing several shots at Reyes.

On Friday, both suspects were formally charged by a Hamilton County Grand Jury. Reyes faces aggravated robbery and McCleery was charged with felonious assault.
