Local soldier convicted of attempted espionage to be sentenced today

A Daviess County soldier convicted of attempted espionage will be sentenced on Monday.

The military announced last week that William Colton Millay pled guilty March 19 and faces life in prison.

Officials in Alaska say Millay pled guilty to several charges including:

  • Attempted Espionage
  • Issuing a false statement
  • Communicating national defense information
The Military Police Officer was arrested in October 2011.
