LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Jefferson County District Court judge issued a no contact order on Tuesday to a Highland Middle School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.
Jessica Boyers, 24, of Pewee Valley went before Judge Annette Karem during an arraignment hearing Tuesday morning. Boyers' attorney entered a not guilty plea on Boyers' behalf before requesting the case be turned over to the grand jury the week of May 13.
Louisville Metro Police said they found Boyers and a student parked in Boyers' car at Buechel Park the night of April 11. According to police, the minor informed officers he was Boyers' student and had a sexual relationship with the married teacher.
If Boyers violates Judge Karem's no contact order, she could face up to one year in jail.
