LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Nearly 250 middle school-aged student-athletes from Kentucky will descend on Jeffersontown High School Football Stadium on April 21 for the fourth annual Kentucky v. Tennessee Future Stars Combine/Tryouts.
The seventh and eighth-grade students will be put through drills and evaluated by High School coaches, former NFL players, and University of Louisville and Kentucky players.
Founded in 2010, the Kentucky v. Tennessee Future Stars is the first state rivalry all-star game at the middle school level in the country and was created to provide exposure for young athletes who have a desire to play football at higher levels and attend college.
Forty-five players will be selected for each roster to represent Kentucky in the Annual Future Stars Classic. The games will take place in Knoxville, TN on June 15.
